Saint-Samson sur Risles (Eure) Capital 11th century

Capital carved in limestone, entirely covered with a fine ochre patina. Highly stylised leaves burgeon from the base. The astragal cannot be seen. The central groin is compounded by a finial. A link can be observed with this decoration and fragments in stucco work originating from Germiny-des-Près and preserved at the museum of Orléans.
