Mesnil-Mauger (Le) (Canton of Mézidon-Canon, Calvados) Church of Saint-Pierre-d'Ecajeul

    The nave of the church of Ecajeul is partly Romanesque. It retains traces of herringbone masonry and narrow windows set in the buttresses. Two doorways, one at the west end and the other in the south wall of the nave are also Romanesque. The tower which is positioned above the east end is later. The choir probably dates from the end of the 12th or early 13th century, but much rebuilding has completely transformed it.
