The church of Saint-Pierre in Tour-en-Bessin has retained the west façade of a Romanesque nave which lost its aisles in the 18th century. It is distinguished by a portal of vast proportions and the care applied to its decoration, especially to the tympanum, at the centre of which is a bas-relief representing an enigmatic scene with three characters in a small boat. The transept and its chapels date from the beginning of the 13th century. The large gothic choir dates from the 14th century. The church of Saint-Pierre in Tour-en-Bessin has retained the west façade of a Romanesque nave which lost its aisles in the 18th century.
