Church of Saint-Romain

The church of Saint-Romain in Etreham retains its Romanesque west façade, but the nave has been completely re-worked in the modern period. The tower positioned between the nave and the choir, and the choir are 13th century. The façade presents a fully arched portal, framed by two much higher blind arches, simulating the presence of aisles. This type of façade, which was very uncommon in Normandy, is found locally in the churches of Meuvaines, Formigny and Huppain.
