In the pictures are shown the central apse and the remains of a door of the fortified walls. According to Schwarzs ideal reconstruction, this is a church of Norman inspiration, probably of the Calvados type, filtered through Calabrian experiences. Originally it was constructed with three columned naves, which end in a presbytery with the same number of adjacent apses: two were lateral, on the projecting arms of the transept, and one was a pre-eminent central one. The present aspect is the result of various transformations over time. The central part, with apse, is today the most defined of the original structure.
