St Mary's Church, Portchester

The church of St Mary's was built soon after 1130. It is an outstanding Romanesque church of cruciform plan which remains virtually intact.
Location

Portchester Church is situated in the grounds of Portchester Castle in the village of Portchester, near Portsmouth. The Castle is well signposted off the A27.
Access

Normally open, but advisable to check beforehand.
Car park close by.
25 minute walk to railway station.
