Roger de Hauteville, called Borsa, duke of Apulia

The son of Robert Guiscard, he succeed him as duke of Apulia. Due to his weak character he had difficulty in keeping the duchy united against the centrifugal tendencies of the Norman feudatories. On a number of occasions he had to ask his uncle, Roger I, count of Sicily, for help. He died in 1111.
