This anthropomorphic modillion originates from the church of Saint-Julien, destroyed in 1944 (Caen, Calvados). It was carved in stone in the 12th century.
This human head has fine proportions: the oval is finely worked, and the eyes in relief are fairly flat. Unfortunately the mouth does not survive.Dimensions of the object
