Caen (Calvados) Church of St Pierre Frieze First third of the 12th century

Frieze in limestone decorated with two rows of hollow shells, surmounted by a fillet. At the base of each shell is an ornament in the shape of a button. This element has a link with the frieze in the church of Saint-Samson in Ouistreham (Calvados).
