Caen (Calvados), Abbey church of St stephen Small column base End of the 12th century

This small column base originates from the church of Saint-Etienne, in the Abbaye-aux-Hommes, in Caen (Calvados). It was carved in limestone at the end of the 12^th century.
A beading surmounting a quarter roundel precedes a row of saw teeth. Each tooth is pointed with a hollow bead.
