Fragment of a white marble lintel decorated with a lion in basso-relievo, with the animal's tongue and tail forming the same palmette ornament. The complete element may have had two lions affrontee on either side of a central motif representing the mask of a fabulous creature, included in a border edged with ova in the Roman tradition.
