Horseshoe nails

second half of the 12th century

These horseshoe nails, eight in number, are of variable dimensions. This type, which is characterised by a head referred to as a "violin peg" is straight with a more or less rounded top, was used to fix horseshoes with undulating lips. 

Dimensions of the object
Longueur comprise entre 19 et 50 mm.
