Capital

First or second third of the 12th century

Capital in limestone. Two of the beaded foliage patterns decorating the corbel extend into corner volutes. A beaded rim serves as a link between the astragal and the volute itself.
A similarity in design in the corner volute means that this sculpted element can be compared with certain elements of the capitals of the church of the Trinité in the Abbaye-aux-Dames, in Caen (Calvados).
