Capital (fragment)

First third of the 12th century
(1120-1130) 

Fragment of the upper part of a limestone capital. The main part of this piece, consisting of a corbel ornamented with moulded almond-shaped motifs has been lost. Only vestiges of the decoration that ornamented the almond pattern sections remain, in the upper part of the capital. These are underlined with a beaded braid pattern.
