Padlock keys
Each
key has a bit in line with stem. These keys were suspended from the
owner's belt by means of a cord through the terminal at the head.
1.
12th-13th century
Bit circular with a rectangular extension towards the stem which has
a spiral groove inlaid with brass running around it. Pierced, hexagonal
terminal, with a suspension ring attached to it.

2.
12th-13th century
The stem expands slightly in the centre. It has a pierced terminal
with a triangular top.

3.
12th-13th century
Bit consists of an inverted T-shaped element which projects from flat
base of a D-shaped element. The stem expands slightly in the centre
and at the head is a pierced, rounded terminal.

4.
12th-13th century
Bit circular with a rectangular extension towards the stem which expands
slightly in the centre. It has a pierced, rounded terminal.
Dimensions: L.98mm
5.
Late 11th century
Stem has a collar at the base and expands slightly in the centre.
It has a pierced terminal with a triangular top. Dimensions: L.74mm
