Southampton, St Michael's Church
(Hampshire)

Tournai marble. It is square with twelve round panels, eleven filled with grotesque beasts, many of them winged, with turned heads and gnashing teeth. In the twelfth panel is a man. The base and stem are original, the supporting shafts are renewed.
