Church of St Ouen

This church was a dependency of the abbey of Bec.
Its Romanesque nave was significantly re-worked during the 19th century. The flat chevet choir retains some elements of the 12th century, especially the capitals, geminate arcatures fully vaulted on the inside and a zigzag decoration window.
The building is above all remarkable in its tower, probably one of the finest in Haute-Normandie. This is located at the south end of the edifice, and formed from a framework of three floors, built in the third quarter of the 12th century. Its finesse and elegance, although entirely Romanesque, prefigure the gothic style whose definitive adoption was very close.
