This monument is a former castle chapel referred to in a charter of William the Bastard in c.1040.
Only the north walls of the nave remain, constructed in opus spicatum of a high degree of regularity, as well as some traces of the triumphal arch of the choir.
The regularity of the bonding and textual indications enable the building to be dated to the first half of the 11th century while the very deep reveal windows seem to be more of the 12th
century.
