Sainte-Mère-Eglise (canton of Sainte-Mère-Eglise, Manche) Church of Notre-Dame

    The church of Notre-Dame in Sainte-Mère-Eglise consists of a nave with aisles, a transept, a tower which rises above the crossing of the transept, and a chancel, with flat east end, flanked by two chapels. The crossing of the transept with its cruciform piers from the 12^th century is the oldest part of the building.
