The church of Saint-Ouen in Périers-sur-le-Dan retains a ruined Romanesque nave and a gothic choir dating form the 13th century. The whole building was restored in 1980 and enables a re-acquaintance with the so-called herringbone masonry (opus spicatum) on the walls of the nave, which was abandoned for the construction of the choir. This retains a rare collection of mural paintings from the 13th and 14th centuries. Bibliography
