S. Pietro

1092-1093

This is a finished example of fusion between a Basilian-Byzantine presbytery with cupolas and Latin basilica’s plan with three apses. The Lancet arches sustain the covering trusses of the central nave by means of high brickwork in which are set the clerestory’s windows. The pictures show the principal façade and the south side, richly decorated with arched lintels ‘a rincassi’ and interlaced arches.
