Lion-sur-Mer (canton of Douvres-la-Délivrande, Calvados) Church of Saint-Pierre

    As a dependency of the abbey of Troarn, built on the initiative of the Bishop of Bayeux, the church of Saint-Pierre in Lion-sur-Mer retains only a tower dating from the first half of the 12^th century which presents the traditional elevation on three increasingly ornate and open levels on a tall almost blind base. The only other survival from the Romanesque period is a chapel on the north side of the choir.
